Members of the ‘He karapitpitnga mariko’ team will be attending the 2024 Tourism Industry Aotearoa (TIA) Summit in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland on 6 November 2024.
The theme of the TIA Summit this year is ‘Visitor Experience (VX) in a Changing World’ which is perfectly aligned with our research programme.
We will be hosting a booth at the summit which will allow delegates to experience first-hand some of the demo technologies that members of the team have been developing in the first year of the research programme. The booth will allow us to not only showcase some of our experience technologies, but will also provide the opportunity for conversations and discussions about the possibilities that these technologies create for immersive and regenerative tourism in Aotearoa.
The day before the Summit we will be setting up and testing our booth and we will also be hosting the first meeting of our advisory board to take advantage of some of advisory board members being together in Auckland for the Summit.
